  17. <p>     "TNN has standards; I have standards," says country music
  18. star Garth Brooks. "On this occasion the two did not cross."
  19. The singer was stunned last week when his video The Thunder
  20. Rolls was banned from the Nashville Network and Country Music
  21. Television. Seems officials couldn't stomach the video's
  22. violence. Brooks portrays a wife-beating husband whose spouse
  23. guns him down in the end. A TNN spokesman said Brooks "needs to
  24. be willing to take responsibility for the video's social
  25. implications." The network wanted Brooks to add an explanation
  26. to the video, but he refused.
